Yup, took the test and yup passed. I really wasn't nervous at all as I was about to take the test. I WAS nervous, however, when I got to question number 71 because I did NOT want to have to go beyond 75 questions.
For those of you not in the know, the NCLEX has a minimum of 75 questions and a maximum of 265 questions. There are 6 hours to take the test.
So as I got closer and closer to number 75, I could barely concentrate on the questions since my brain was rapidly running different "what if" scenarios. "What if it doesn't shut down at 75?" "What if it shut down and I failed?" "What if I go ALL the way to 265???"
I would've been horrified and also discouraged if it hadn't stopped at 75. Fortunately it did, and I gave a sigh of relief. Shutting down at 75 doesn't necessarily mean you passed but I knew in my gut that if I knew enough NOT to have failed at 75.
Anywho, I've started teaching again but only for 5 weeks while I'm looking for a job. Anatomy and Physiology again. Argh. But need the dough. The classrooms are more high-tech than I've previously encountered and so I'm able to use powerpoints for my lectures. And on the very first slide under the title of the lecture? Why, Marichu Edmilao, RN of course!
