So a new chapter has closed and another is beginning. Its off to a slow start though. At least in terms of my career. I'm just waiting to hear back from NY State on when I can take the boards.

I had high hopes that I'd somehow win the Mega Million lottery this evening and, thus, not have to embark on any career that involves actual work. Alas, the endless musings of what I would do with my winnings has been replaced with crossed fingers and chantings of "Please don't let there be a winner...".

As for my singing career, Kommon Ground started off with a bang but has sort of petered out due to our expectant father-to-be drummer. Hopefully in March we'll be able to rock the house like we did that very first night. Our acoustic night wasn't that bad either but didn't quite have the energy of our first gig with the full band. I really do think our band has great potential. And whether we make money or not (although getting paid is pretty darn cool), we definitely do have lots of fun. Just check out the videos and you'll see.

So in all, life is good and I'm happy. There are so many new things that are currently happening or are about to happen. I feel like I'm poised on the brink of some cliff that symbolizes an old life that I'm about to leave behind. I haven't stepped off yet but I have one foot in the air and the other on the ground waiting for some unknown signal...and then lift off!
