Always wanting what I don't have
I finally figured some stuff out with my camera. I've had this camera for about 5 months but I haven't really begun to explore all of its features. I think it's because I had been trying to figure out how to do the whole aperture/focus thingy where an object is in focus while the rest of its surroundings is blurred. After much frustration, I realized it just couldn't be done the way I wanted. (Then again, I'm no expert. But Angel's camera is able to do it!) It works a little but not dramatically like with other cameras (esp SLRs). After finding that out, I kind of just lost interest in the camera. Its one of the main reasons why I bought the camera in the first place.

But after a recent surge of renewed curiousity, I experimented and came up with these:

I can focus on one color and have the rest come out in black and white! Neat, huh?

Although this has upped my respect for my Canon A530, I must admit, I've been looking into new digital cameras. Don't get me wrong, my camera is great - clear pictures, etc - and, yes, it's practically brand new and all, but I saw another - a Canon SD600 - on sale and I think I want it! Its so small and cute and chic and mod and all I've ever wanted in a camera! That last part is an exaggeration but I have this feeling like I just have to have this camera! And the feeling will not go away. I don't know whether I should sell my "old" one or not. Anyone interested?
